Manually register cloud-to-cloud or cloud-to-mesh using matching points.


Matching Points Registration

Use the Load function or the keyboard short cut Ctrl+Down Arrow and Ctrl+Up Arrow to prepare each scan in the Object Lister for registration.Select the first scan in the Object List to begin. Use Ctrl+Down Arrow to load the next scan for registration to the previous, locking the previous scan. The Shift+Ctrl+Down Arrow can be used to register the scan to the previous three scans.

Position the scan for registration

Use the transform manipulator to position the unlocked scan in the approximate position or use the target markers. Place corresponding locked and unlocked markers then use the Combine function to transform to the approximate postion.

Final registration and results

Use the Register by shape function to compute the registration. The Fine alignment function may provide superior results with higher quality scan data. Registration results are reported in the window.

Lock vertical axis rotation option

For scan data with "Auto Leveling", it is possible to prevent rotation of the scan about the vertical axis.
